Lerida province is situated in the Catalan region of Spain. It is full of exciting places, and it has both the rural part as well as the urban part. There are parks, lakes, villages, towns, historical places, monuments and attractions in this province. The province is famous for winter sports as it snows in most parts of the province in winter months.

There is a valley in Lerida with the name of Boi Valley. It was declared a World Heritage site in the year 2001, since there are ancient Roman churches and remains of the Roman Empire in this valley which are impressive to view. The most famous park in the province of Lerida is Aiguestortesil Estany de Sant Mauricinational Park. It comprises a big area which is more than 10,000 hectares. There are many ski resorts, hiking tracks and lakes inside this park. It is the largest park in Catalonia.

There is a feudal state within the province named Andorra which is another exciting place to visit. This state has been an autonomous state since 1993. There are many exciting places within this state which include many lakes and it is popular destination for skiing. Its main source of income is through tourism. It is influenced by both Spain and France. The official language of the state is Catalan but many other languages are also spoken in it.

There are many inspiring towns in Lerida. Some of the famous ones are Vielha, La Seud Urgell, El Pont de Suert, Espot and Caldes de Boi. Apart from these towns there are many exciting places in the province that should be visited. Some of these are the Diocesan Museum, La Vall de Boi, Barrera, Boi Taull, Alt Urgell and Alt Ribagorca. People who love to climb will find exciting excursions in Lerida and similarly there are lots of caves that should be explored.

There are lots of opportunities for enjoyment in Lerida. The province is excellent for fishing, hunting, horse riding, hiking, walking, adventure sports and winter sports. The province has a few excellent golf courses where golfers can enjoy a great game. Similarly there are places in the province where events are held and people can enjoy them.
